Moist Juicy Delicious Dry Rub Ribs 0g net carbs (KETO)
Want to make a healthy rack of ribs? Our Misko Mountin Flavor Company No B.S. (bull spice) season blend makes the perfect addition to any keto meal. Don't let that fool you though, these were made with FLAVOR in mind first and I just so happened to realize that they were KETO after the fact.
Start with a rack of pork ribs. (I prefer St. Louis cut but if you prefer you can use pork spare ribs or baby back as well.)
Get yourself some MMFCo No Bull Spice you can order it here: https://mmflavor.com/products/chipotle-bbq-seasoning-1
1 cube real butter per rack
You'll also need a smoker and some heavy duty aluminum foil
5 hrs cook time
5 hrs 15 minutes total time
Preheat smoker to 225 degrees F
Sprinkle the No BS seasoning on both sides of the rack of ribs. You want to use as much as you can get to stick. Very important to make sure you do this right before you are about to cook them. if you do it too early the salt will dry out the meat and your ribs will not be as moist as they could be.
Side note: there seems to be a big debate on whether or not to remove the silver skin on the bottom of the rack. I prefer to leave it on as I prefer my ribs to be just shy of fall off the bone tender and this will help keep them together. When you cook them to this level you will not even notice as the collagen in them will be almost completely broken down. It is good both ways though. If you prefer to remove it, peel a small amount back and pull the rest off with a paper towel so it doesn't slip out of your fingers.
Place ribs in the smoker as far away from the heat source as possible. Cook for 2 hours at 225F
Cut butter into roughly 1/8 inch slices.
Place two sheets of foil 2-1/2 times the length of your rack of ribs on a work space. Put 2-3 pats of butter on foil 6 inches apart and place ribs on top of butter. Place remainder of butter spread evenly on top of ribs. Fold foil up around ribs making sure that it is completely sealed and tight. (if you use cheap foil, you may want to use 3 layers) Place back in smoker at 225 for 2 hours
Remove ribs from foil and place back in smoker until for 45-60 minutes.
Remove ribs from smoker, let sit for 5-10 minutes if you can fight people off that long.
Enjoy
One day I will get around to making a video of this process.
